I have IE-7 so I can get the Microsoft automatic updates, but I use Mozilla Firfox for my browser. If you highlight something on an IE-7 page then go to the "..Page.." pulldown on the far right edge and bottom of the IE tool bar you can find the copy and paste selections. I'd suggest you download Mozilla Firefox and us it as your master browser. It should pick up all your old favorites out of IE in the process. John :-) .
