KDDI Research
I've done some research and confirmed that the $40 million or so KDDI just spent with Sonus was just for converting the 8 million landlines to long-distance voip.

The next phase will be converting the wireless long distance to voip. There are 24 million customers there. Moreover, KDDI hsa confirmed this wil be done by March 2008.

8 million for wireline = $40 million (this past quarter)

24 million for wireless = $160 million.

**$100mm+ just from KDDI next 4 q's..And that's just phase 2.

**Phase 3 will probably be wireline class 5 access and FMC, services. Another $50-$100 million. late 07 - 2008.

**Phase 4 will probably be all-ip wireless access, including sons new solutions to replace traditional MSC's. 2009-10. Probably with Motorola.
This could be 300-500 million especially when you consider the current MSC capex and new services apps sonus will be able to provide at that time.

Total deployment over next 4 years should be $500 million - maybe much more.

Then you have Sprint which is even bigger, DT which is much bigger.

Happy Thanksgiving.
