Jon, I wired a large sum of money (300k) to Datek on last Thursday morning. It still has not shown up in my account although my bank confirms that it was received by Chase bank on Thursday. I have called Datek several times and just get the run around. Said they would look into it if it doesn't show up in "a few days". I am getting very concerned and am about to turn the matter over to my lawyer. Is Datek on the up and up or have I fallen into some sort of scam? I have had a small Datek account for only a few weeks and am now concerned that I should have done more DD before increasing the account. I am used to dealing with other brokers where wire transfers appear in your account within the hour. If it is this hard to get money into your account, what happens when you try to withdraw???? Are they just scamming the interest on my money for a few days or are they in cash flow trouble and riding the float?
