Peter, Obviously that was written by a man that was there, but it does not cover what happened after they arrived on Plymouth Rock. There seems to be several contradicting versions of that.
For one thing, there is doubt that the meeting of the Wampawoag and the Puritans was as cordial as many want to believe. There is evidence that they got together after the harvest, they had a feast, and about 90 of the Indians joined in. Some of them killed deer, and brought corn, to add to the feast, but in the end, the Puritans killed the entire tribe through disease, and musket fire.
