The history of the CIA is filled with coup d'etats and assassinations, including the one JFK had just ordered against the South Vietnamese president. Homicide investigations are usually based on three principles; motive, opportunity and means. Realistically, Oswald didn't have any of those. And certainly someone was at work behind the scenes to blame Oswald, and only Oswald, before there was an investigation. Someone also made sure Oswald was killed within 48 hours so the public could never hear his testimony.
