AP Poll: Venezuelans Support Chavez By Wide Margin

msnbc.msn.com

Interesting that this freely-conducted AP poll shows that Chavez may be controversial, egotistical and too friendly with Castro for half the country, but despite this, he has approval ratings double those of GW Bush, and very high marks on domestic issues.

Indeed, though Chavez has dominated Venezuela's system of govermment too much, it is still a democracy, and the peoples' choice is clearly Chavez.

What's ironic is that Bush claims to want to spread democracy around the world, but when democratic elections support people Bushies don't like -- which takes us back to Iraq. Who do the majority of Iraqis want to lead them? Probably someone who opposed Bush and the US. Maybe someone like El Sadr. So be careful what you wish for, neocons.
