- i never understood how the merger/takeover would help nmkt shareholders - as Action Products was unprofitable - the only thing going was their amex listing -------------------- Nov 22 (Reuters) - Action Products International Inc. (APII.O: Quote, Profile, Research) on Wednesday said it terminated negotiations to acquire NewMarket Technology Inc. (NMKT.OB: Quote, Profile, Research) as final merger terms were elusive. In October, the education toy company said it was considering acquiring NewMarket in all stock deal for about $100 million valuing NewMarket's stock at not less than 50 cents a share.
