So in my never ending search for hot water, I went to the store to find out about on demand hot water. For an electric on demand heater it will cost 400 or 500 dollars and require some rewiring of my house. And it is not suitable for a dishwasher or for clothes washing for some reason. And then there is gas. The whole house model is 4000.00 and the not so robust model for small families and all that is only 2000 dollars plus installation. Fortunately I have a strong heart and the ability to not giggle uncontrollably when faced with idiocy. So when the roof gets done in the spring I am going to look at running solar water heating someplace on the corrugated roofing. and eventually i will run two electric on demand heaters one upstairs and one down.
