Couple of things struck me after doing this research.

1) The diminishing presence of NT and LU.

2) Ericsson - TDM/Hybrid solution - winning some IMS primary vendor statuses but ability to keep these carriers on TDM migration path versus native IP NGN is questionable as steady progress in softswitch/gateway deployments/market share not apparent.

3) Cisco smaller density trunking gateways. Not competitive with Sonus for high-density gateway arena.

4) Sonus in class by itslef by being the only one with:

- field-proven, pure-ip solution for large scale carrier deployments.
- multiple large scale deployments on mulitple continents
- ability to provide signalling requirements carriers need for international, pure ip/voip NGN's.
