Broetje Orchards, which happens to be the largest private orchard in the world, had to let 15 tons of fruit rot on the ground this fall due to lack of labor.

Quite a difference. Which was it?

Broetje does not have many pears. I heard his apple crop was badly hail damaged early in the season. Might you be confusing the two issues?
