As for shorting, let me add that we named this contest "Picks of the Quarter" for good and positive reason. This is not mainly about winning - even though winning is nice, no reason to forget that. This is preliminarily about picking out winner stocks and about how different investors deal with that matter. That's where we all can and would like to learn a few things by watching and listening to those most successful in that department. Shorting is about the opposite discipline, picking out the losers. Valuable indeed for aggressive investment styles but that wasn't where we came from when Elroy and undersigned decided to set this thing up. We were debating about what makes a stock a winner, how to pick those efficiently and Elroy suggested we better get a larger and more professional team together to work on that. I must say that so far we indeed seem to have succeeded in gathering such a team, thanks guys! Now above is my personal opinion and with that said I wish everybody all the best and winning luck for the upcoming contest :) Taro
