I thought my answer was direct, honest, and reasonable: of course I would make a good trade, were a good trade offered.

Is a good trade on the table (a certain freedom, or a defined measure of freedom, for guaranteed safety... or a certain measurable increase in safety?)

Absent that, it's all rhetorical. (but even the rhetorical question has been answered in my replies....)
