>>All of the traditional supports for the dollar have been removed by a shrinking economy, a massive $800 billion account deficit, dramatic increases in the money supply, and the reckless manipulation of interest rates.<<

The Treasury Department has stated that net long-term capital flows into the US fell to $US 65.1 Billion in September from a revised $US 114.4 Billion in August. Thus, the September net long-term foreign capital inflows were not enough to cover for the US current account deficit, which has been running at about $US 70 Billion a month. In September, the US was in deficit in terms of the flow of international financing for its double deficits - the current account deficit and the trade deficit. If this continues, the alarm bells will start ringing all over the financial world.
