I never gave it a lot of thought, myself. Of course, when my wife died I was reminded of a fact of life... death always follows. Because I served in the Marine Corps, she was eligible to be buried in the National Cemetery, as I am. I signed and paid for my own cremation and burial, in her grave site, about a month ago. My SIL lost her dad a month earlier. He thought he had pre-paid all of it only for SIL to find out there were "things" he hadn't planned for. I don't want my kids to discover "things". It's all done, paid for, and no one has to give it further thought. Lots of comfort in that.
