Don't you feel that this sounds a bit illogical?

You are in marketing/product management, and you can't
conclude that his expertise extends to structure of pricing.

I am in CS/systems engineering and have derived the same
conclusion about his comments on chipsets, memory
performance, etc. However, he lets himself to speak in
these areas with such a confidence and superiority.

Now, neither you nor I do not claim in-depth expertise
in semiconductor fabrication. Given his record in the
two areas discussed above, what could be our grounds to
conclude that his expertise in semiconductor fabs is
any deeper?
