(EDITED) Eracer/Paul, I expect a +- stealthy launch, as there are just a few points to review: Performance will be identical. Power might be a bit better. I'm not expecting good overclocking for the first steppings.

All in all this is more of an AMD event than a customer event: It immediately allows AMD to ramp both total unit volume and the DC/SC ratio. This allows dropping prices, higher unit share, lower margins, and almost maintain revenue QoQ. It allows Barcelona later (higher margins).

EDIT: Reseller Mike got an indicator that 65nm might indeed be due rather soon now: investorshub.com

Because of the Inq article, Reseller Mike's tidbit, and the absence of any articles about potential delays, I'm quite sure that the planned launch for December is about certain.
