You're just conned, BY the truly rich and their political minions, into fearing that the tax burden will fall on you. Ben Stein is one of YOURS, a Republican (much wealthier than YOU), who's just speaking the truth. Wake up pal - things DO have to be paid for, and there is no free lunch as promised by the supply-siders. There never was. It didn't happen for Reagan, and it hasn't happened for Bush. Do you think Warren Buffet would consider you "rich"? I don't. You must not have read far enough into the article where Warren admits that he doesn't do ANY tax planning, shelters, etc. He just pays what he owes. Since most of his income comes from capital gains, and his FICA ends at 90k (only on his SALARY), he just naturally pays much LESS than ordinary Americans as a percentage of his actual income. And he doesn't think that's FAIR.
