Yep. That is why I support Rangel's proposal and have written to my Congressman to support it as well.

Without the draft, we are screwed as well. The defeat (rather, the *admission* of defeat, since we have already been defeated) and withdrawal will only take longer and the price paid will be higher than it would be if we do have the draft. So don't gloat if the draft bill fails, as it is expected to right now.
