Cingular 3G progress is slow. I think the most significant datapoint from Cingular's 3G rollout so far is the amount that they are willing to subsidize the handsets. I am amazed that the Synch and CU500 are both at $50 and the new LG CU400 (MSM6280) is at $30. It will be interesting to see how long Cingular is willing to keep up those kinds of prices and if they are willing to give a similar subsidy to the N75. If so, they will be flying out the door.... FWIW, the anecdotal performance reports I have read about the Synch are fairly good and have even read that it is sold out in some places. Most importantly, Samsung seems to have improved the battery life. It still isnt great, but there are at least some people who seem satisfied while keeping their handset in 3G mode. Slacker
