you'll lose the support of all those young liberals and their parents who don't want to be drafted into a war they never agreed to in the first place. How can you lose support you never had? The folks you describe know exactly where they stand on the matter. The draft will undermine war support among those who support it now, but who won't fight nor even be inconvenienced for their "convictions". It is those who support the war NOW who will backtrack in sufficient numbers at the thought of their 20 year old offspring walking the streets of baghdad stalked by death or worse.
