Now it really gets good. The "Barney Fife" supervisor who OK'd this raid is in real trouble. He tried to cover up his mistake by getting the CI to lie.

But nowhere in this mess will the real problem be addressed. Pulling this kind of raid in a non-violent situation.

My fun now will be watching how this plays out for "Patterico" at his blog and Rodney Balko at his "Agitator" blog. Patterico is a DA in LA who has been opposing the reporting of Balko from day one. And they have a cat-fight going on that dates back. I like both of these guys. Patterico really made an ass out of himself over this.

One thing you learn when watching this kind of fight is that no one comes out well when you get spiteful.
