DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Investor Richard Scott has raised his stake in Amtech Systems Inc. (ASYS) to 13.9% from 9.4%, according to a Schedule 13D filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Scott beneficially owns 484,054 shares of Amtech's common stock after he bought 136,900 shares last Wednesday at $6.15 each, according to the filing. On June 27, Scott reported ownership of 323,654 Amtech shares. Amtech Systems makes thin-wafer materials, mainly silicon wafers, for the semiconductor industry.
