Yes! Absolutely. One thing I find very interesting about today's world is that solving the big problems takes a multi-disciplinary approach. Research scientists in the biotech world really can't get to the big breakthroughs without the ability to work with computer programmers and statisticians to find and target specific genes as well as to interpret data and come to conclusions against hypothesis. So brilliant work may be done in the design of experiments and in the gathering of data, but if you don't have advanced statistical analytic experience, then your conclusions can be meaningless.

A famous statistics joke was that there was a high correlation of the sales of beer and diapers. So the conclusion was that babies drink beer. LOL. A better conclusion would have been that mommy sent daddy to buy the diapers and he bought beer as well. So locating both products in proximity would be the right action. Same with global warming. Lots of ridiculous conclusions, because of bad statisticians or lack of statisticians involved.
