Freedom to decide the fate of the land you occupy. To have a representative government that addresses the needs of all the people and not one imposed upon you by colonists from another land.

This is what the British were supposed to have accomplished in their administrative duties as the administrators of the Palestinian Mandate.

They were derelict in their duties. They allowed the Zionist terrorists to thwart democracy in Palestine and to establish an Apartheid state now referred to as a "Jewish State" (undemocratic in name from the git-go).
