I keep explaining it. Intel intends to out-R&D AMD. They will use their resources to accelerate the design & process cadence to the point where AMD cannot keep up, and wage a horizontal (as opposed to segment-based) price-war based on performance. AMD cannot succeed if everything they produce is at best a low-to-mid end part, and Intel lowers pricing there, while enjoying fat margins in the mid-to-high end space.
