you seem to be saying that if intel continuously produces better products than amd, they'll win in the market. if this is not stating the obvious, i don't know what is. on top that you seem to assume that intel can and will accomplish this which is the sleeping giant theory. it's indeed possible but it's definitely not a foregone conclusion. i'm currently working on a tape-out for chartered 65nm and the chances seem very good that i'll be able to port this to 45nm and tape it out in q1'08 again. i guess one makes one's bet and one places one's money accordingly.
