Link to where there was any pressure to not use overwhelming force in Fallujah. The first assault failed because we couldn't spare enough troops to actually complete the job quickly. So we had to bombard. The ceasefire was called because the Iraqi provisional government was screaming their heads off. It had little or nothing to do with people in this country.
