Again, Rumsfeld set the policy in Iraq. It was his idea to go in with minimal force levels and he likely was behind the original failed assault on Fallujah. He never bought into the Powell Doctrine. Unless you are claiming Rumsfeld is a leftist, there is no way that any leftist pressure set Rumsfeld policies.

Now you can try to pin it on the Left, just like Hitler did after WWI. It doesn't make it rational, though. Not that you even let that stop you.
