True. But they tend to be wonks. Engineering types trend Libertarian. Now as a Texan, and, what the hell, a wonk, I can sympathize. I am very attracted by meritocracies. However, as a Joneser, I know that such is extremely idealistic. Now idealism isn't bad. But it can blind you to the pragmatic. To an idealist, pragmatics are sellouts. Sadly, in the real world, pragmatists get the job done while pure idealists are jerk offs.
