Mon 29 Sept 97 News Release
Mr John Ivany reports
Assay results have been received from drill hole LBN-11 on the company's
Cirque property 85km north-northwest of the Voisey's Bay deposit in
Labrador. This hole was drilled 290 degrees at an inclination of -45
degrees for a length of 729m. The lenses of disseminated to massive
sulphide mineralization which were encountered from 608.55 to 689.40 metres
are anomalous in cobalt, copper and nickel and the best assays are:

Interval Length Co Cu Ni

It is anticipated that drill hole LBN-12 will be completed by the end of
the week. This hole will intercept the mineralization zone at approximately
the same vertical elevation as LBN-11 at 100m to the south.
Cartaway is also drilling a geophysical anomaly on its BR-E property 90km
due south of the Voisey's Bay deposit and adjacent to the Donner-Teck
ground. It is being drilled vertically and will be completed shortly.
