Of course they do - they're not stupid! By the way, there is nothing to stop other chip set manufacturers from designing CPU chips so they can do the same thing. Isn't AMD doing the....

In the above paragraph, Paul Engel admits that Intel does exactly what Microsoft was accused of and prohibited from doing in the realm of software. Microsoft is totally prohibited from using non-public intofrmation about their operating systems, present or future, in designing application software. At the time of this consent decree, Microsoft's share of operating system software was less than Intel`s current share of the personal computer CPU market. Intel's goal is complete dominance and monopoly of personal computers.

STOP THE EVIL EMPIRE NOW !! If all aspects of computer hardware are controlled by Intel, they will have 67% profit margins on everything and you can bet that your PC will cost a lot more than $1500.
