as mary would presumably agree, given that the pashtun population had faced down the mongols, taught the persians, tutored the british, and humbled the russians, it is certainly a good bet that they will instruct the americans and its coalition of something or other equally well, if not better than did the vietnamese, to keep off someone else's home turf, especially if the home boys are not afraid.

should the vietnamese be pitted against the pashtun, the astute wager may not be with the vietnamese.
