Not much different, as I said, ROUGHLY 5x.

But it isn't just the money you throw in. It is what comes of it.

For example, in 2004-2005 Intel designed and developed Conroe/Merom/Woodcrest, and that core is kicking AMD butt, yet they spent slightly less money on R&D relative to AMD, than they did in the NetBust years.
