Yukon court OKs Vista Gold land deal Wednesday November 29, 7:39 pm ET
The Supreme Court of the Yukon Territory has approved a land deal proposed by Vista Gold Corp. of Littleton, the company said Wednesday.
Under the arrangement, Vista would transfer its existing Nevada properties into a recently incorporated company, Allied Nevada Gold Corp., which would concurrently acquire the Nevada mineral assets of Carl and Janet Pescio.
The transaction, which is subject to a number of conditions, is expected to close in December.
Vista (AMEX: VGZ - News) evaluates and acquires gold projects. Vista's holdings include projects in Nevada, California, Idaho, Mexico, Bolivia, Indonesia and Australia.
Vista is registered in the Yukon Territory although its executive offices have been in Littleton since 1996, a company official said.
