Oh yes, very much so!

One colder than usual spot in Canada does not necessarily mean global warming hasn't occurred.

Note that while it is colder than usual in Western Canada this year, it is very much warmer this year for Eastern Canada! The reverse of this was true in past years. If it were uniformly colder everywhere, year after year, then there is something wrong with Al Gore's theory on global warming!

You will do well to understand this:

1. Despite the fact that large areas of arctic ice have melted, the average global temperature rise over that of preceding years has been about 2 degrees;

2. If the arctic ice did not melt the temperature rise would have been much higher! The melted ice took care of the extra heat.

3. Do not take an unusually cold winter in one spot of the world to be proof that global warming hasn't occurred. You have to consider the average global temperature rise over a number of years!

I believe the storms that will hit Atlantic USA and the Gulf States will be fiercer and more destructive in the future as a consequence of global warming! Watch out!
