coug your post inspired me to take a trip down memory lane..

these days i don't often participate in the political rancor on SI.
i used to spout off quite a bit, but ultimately it became an exercise in futility..

i too was against even the afghan war from the get-go .. those terrorist training camps were disbanded immediately after 9/11 .. they knew we'd be coming.. we just had to bomb something quick in retaliation and afghanistan was the most logical choice

i cried when those towers fell partially for the people whom were within them, but more so because of the adverse reaction which i just knew would inevitably come to pass
