CJ, I kind of agree with SYH. Maybe I just don't understand the horsepower needed to drive next generation video cards, but I have a hard time seeing why a desktop user would want 8 cores in this platform. Wouldn't there need to be a richer interconnect? I never understood why 4x4 would be a good idea. I'm worried that this was a bad attempt at saving face on the "performance crown". I'd prefer that AMD just kept chugging along gaining marketshare and working on products that made business sense.
