Maybe to Asus, but why to nVidia? It is just their server chipset, nVidia incurred no extra costs. And Asus probably got very little, being the exclusive manufacturer is worth a lot to them. Most of the costs are likely engineering help. And AMD, just like Intel, incurs those costs all the time for projects that don't get off the ground.

I will believe marketing costs when I see them. It isn't all that expensive to issue press releases and send out systems for review.

Maybe. That has yet to be established.
