i re-listened -- actually missed
the first 10 minutes--

silverstein called it a "fireside chat"
he originally had planned to ask a few questions
of HA and then have audience participate...
prior to the private session (final 30 minutes)

-- silverstein actually asked questions up thru
29 minutes -- jmo but based on the way he asked
his questions and HA's answers -- sliverstein
could have gone on for another 30 minutes or so--

from the first 10 minutes

*HA -- "we are 6 years into a 15 to 20 year cycle"
-- sonus occupies the lead position
-- bulk of opportunity still lies ahead
-- penetration in the core is at 20%
-- penetration in the edge in the single digits

in reviewing the remaining q & a

-- competitive landscape -- silverstein called them
(comp) the land of the giants (NT)
HA -- even within the comp space -- it is shrinking
-- in a # of places we have had the oppty
-- to "re-visit" and are actually engaged in
replacing a ng infrastructure where a selection
had been made -- but hadn't "panned" out
-- think of voip as an underlying technology
so you will see multiple vendors/opportunities

IMS -- validates the arch choices sonus made
"software upgrade vs a forklift upgrade"
very -- very early days -- ng of the ng

MOT/EMB-- augment existing sonus sales force
MOT -- "very strong channel partner"
-- "it's an important partner in emerging
markets" -- "excellent partner in the
wireless space ALTHOUGH the relationship
is broader than just wireless"
EMB -- channel partner that covers the
"1400 or so independent operators"
that the sonus sales force can't cover

HA was relaxed and confident and only did a few
of "i would encourage you to look at it this way..."

again jmo -- but i do believe silverstein gets it--
