Websites help customers get out of mobile contracts

A number of websites have popped up to help customers get out of their mobile-phone contracts without paying the stiff termination fee. The sites are taking advantage of a contract loophole that allows people to get out of their contracts if they can find someone else to take it over, and the wireless operator approves the new subscriber through a credit check. The sites include CelltradeUSA.com, Resellular.com and Cellswapper.com. Interestingly, the operator with the highest churn, Sprint Nextel, welcomes the sites. "We welcome all potential new customers to Sprint, so we're excited to have a new customer who wants to enjoy our services," said a Sprint spokeswoman. Verizon Wireless, by the way, says it doesn't endorse the sites.
