You mentioned a couple times in your post how the majority of Iraqies want us there. Have you ever seen the results of polls taking in Iraq asking that question?

I wont argue your point of the ME not having much of an economy other than oil in some of the countries anyway.

As far as them being polluted by western values of capitalism. I would not say that will never happen, Infact, some of those countries are very industrious. Take a look at Kuwait or Saudi. And I hate to mention Iran in that sentence but they are well on there way to.

IMO, in the larger picture that is the best way to democratize them. Just expose them to the west. It doesn't happen in a day but that is what does it. Makes fighting the war on terror a lot more efficient to.

As far as what we can expect from a country that allows independent militias to run around killing people. Those are not only things we should have considered before we went in there, they were issues that were brought up by credible sources. Not that anyone who brought it up back then still has a job. But it was brought up.

That is how they live over there. They fight each other for awhile, then things cool down so they can radio the other side, get all there prisoners back, make peace, then reload and do it all over again... Go figure.
