As with any lawsuit in the US, the party is innocent until proven guilty. All of the other companies who deal in oil/gas have done very well recently and CHK is one of the few who hasn't participated in the price appreciation. Instead, CHK moved in the opposite direction. Also, CHK indicated they're going to fight the lawsuit...a good indication that management doesn't feel they acted inappropriately. Seems to me a good time to pick some shares, especially since natural gas reserves are low. A cold winter could really send this security upwards fast.
