Exactly...taking the oath to uphold the Constitution ON the Constitution should be a requirement of congressional membership. If a politician refuses, s/he should be disqualified from representing the American people.

Actually, I would prefer to continue with the long-time bible tradition of the founders of the USA; however, the current inundation of immigrants has presented this holy book controversy. Possibly it should be posed as a nationwide voter referendum asap.
