Jeff - you want me to calm down? I'm very calm, just enjoying the lively debate on a topic where I feel I add some reason and balance. Look at your posts on the Anthony board before, during and after his conviction. You expressed yourself about the evidence and the law. You claimed that you only wanted a just verdict. I only want the truth.

Serious charges were made here and I only want the truth. If you weren't biased, you'd say the same thing, with all due respect.

Read her posts - she speaks about a check. Petar was not the payor and he was not the legal payee. The funds were not deposited in an account controlled by Petar.Start with that and then go over her posts again. That's about all we know. The rest is theory. The bar association apparently didn't give much weight to a defense based on Petar or anyone scamming or defrauding. The local criminal authorities have done nothing, which says a lot. As I posted, the excuse for failing to file a civil action until a picture was in the paper, seems weak. She sued the bank. She should have sued the payor and Petar. Talk is cheap. And even if she did, it sounds like a rescission case in equity rather than anything else. AGain, I'm not defending Petar and if he did defraud her, then, yes, throw the book at him. But prove it!

If your point is that we know very little if anything that would even make a claim against Petar civilly, then I totally agree. Going beyond that, the claims which sound like criminality and fraud, well, let's put it this way -- if your friends were accused with a similar fact pattern, you'd be hard pressed to be calm.

I just want the truth. If Petar has scammed, I hope he gets what is coming to him and I have posted this over and over, despite lies about my posts. I just want the truth and I do feel it is proper to object when people post opinions and suppositions as if they are facts.

There are tons of legit red flags in SLJB and I have no problem with discussing them. However, when you see this type of thing, you have to wonder about possible agendas "get it at all costs" type mentality that was so prevalent back in the good old days.

Don't get upset - that was just my opinion and I have a right to say it.
