The Economist is particularly known for the contrarian value of its covers. One famous cover was the ultra-bearish "Passing of the Buck" in Dec 2004, which marked a major low in the Dollar Index. What I meant in my note to Paul was that this bull on the current cover is tied down and seems to be struggling -- therefore, it is difficult to see whether it reflects bullish, or rather bearish sentiment.... Btw, the concept of a 90 year cycle is new to me.... :)
