When Hummer H1's were still new, I was checking one out in a parking lot, peering in the windows, etc, when the owner ran up, fairly agitated. After convincing him that I was just checking it out, he said the reason he was so concerned was that someone had chucked a coke bottle at him on the freeway and yelled "gas hog" and someone else had keyed his door.
