Nothing to be done about Po 210 is not correct. There is the possibility of chealation to reduce the amount in the body - this is standard for many heavy metals. Polonium is a metaliod, of this my be less effective.

Transfusions of white blood cells, and basically massive blood replacement.

Supportive Dialysis can reduce the chance of of organ failure by moving toxins created by cell death out of the body.

Intervenous feeding can help maintain energy.

The cardaic damage can be mitigated with some drugs.

*************

The above won't work if there is a large dose of Po 210.

Since Litvinenko lived about 30 days, it appears the dose was calibrated so he would stay alive at least 10 days, but not three months.

If we assume that the designed dose was delivered, then the people who did this have experiment based knowledge of Polonium health effects and dosing. So they have had people killed with Po 210 before, either accidently or intentionally.

This would really limit the number of nations that could do this. All the permanent members of the UN security council plus Israel.
