"Not "quiet" everywhere - " No it hasn't been. As one would expect in a year with El Nino conditions, it was quiet in the Atlantic and not in the Pacific. Now they didn't have a huge number of storms, but they did have more really powerful storms, with at least one "super typhoon". But you don't hear much about it over the roar of the butt slapping going on with all the anti-global warming crowd...
