Wharfie, it's freezing here. I think we might have entered the next ice age. It's not just the icebergs. There's a LOT of near-frozen water which is floating up from Antarctica on the surface [because fresh water floats on salt water]. As the southerlies blow up from the south, we are cold.

All that ice and cold was happily confined to Antarctica, but now it is on the rampage towards the north and that will have a domino effect.

If a whole lot more ice takes off and heads north, we'll freeze up pretty quickly.

Sea level is nothing to worry about. It's ice age which is the big worry. A sea level rise of 5 metres over a decade or five is barely economically significant. Of global assets which are within that range, most of the value can be moved uphill and the rest is maybe 1%. Governments waste 10 times that every year. People could save the asset loss by drinking 10% less booze for a year. I think they could cope.
