Hedge fund manager loads up on Navistar
Hedge fund investor Jeffrey Gendell of Connecticut increased his stake in Navistar by 43% over the summer, an SEC filing says. Mr. Gendell held 3.55 million shares at the end of September, compared with 2.48 million shares at the end of June and 2 million in September 2005. Mr. Gendell is now the eighth-largest investor, with a 5% stake. He did not return calls. The stock closed Friday at a 52-week high of $32.40. [Bob Tita]
